For those of you of an artistic nature, the Sligo Drink and Draw sessions is an ideal environment in which to meet like minded artists. The Drink and Drink concept originates from the USA and has spread globally. Drink and Draw groups have cropped up in Ireland also with groups in Galway, Dublin, Cork and Belfast to name a few. The idea of the evening is simply to meet and sketch informally over a few drinks in a pub or café. There are no tutors analysing your work or any exams, it’s just a relaxed evening where you can share your art, your influences and company! The group is open to all skill levels; all you need is to bring your sketchbooks and materials of choice and a little bit of friendly enthusiasm! Sligo Drink and Draw has been hosted in a variety of venues and meets Fortnightly.
