The Hawk’s Well Theatre is delighted to present a weekend with Pat Kinevane with a double-bill of the award-winning one-man shows Forgotten and Silent, both written and performed by celebrated actor Pat Kinevane on Friday 2 November and Saturday 3 November at 8pm. Forgotten will be performed at the Hawk’s Well on Friday 2 November and Silent on Saturday 3 November. Tickets are €18/15 concession for each performance. Theatre lovers can avail of a special rate of €30/25 concession if planning on coming to both shows and can book this through the Box Office on 071 916 1518.

With exhilarating theatricality and haunting honesty, Kinevane’s captivating performance in Forgotten looks at old age brings to life these sometimes forgotten voices of society. This boutique performance by the award-winning Fishamble: The New Play Company is now in its seventh year of touring Ireland and abroad. It has been performed in over 100 performances throughout Ireland and on tour to England, Scotland, US, France, Czech Republic, Iceland, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, as well as in the U.S. to New York, Boston, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles.
Reviews for Forgotten :

‘beautifully written and vivid…uniquely memorable’ The New Yorker
‘Drop everything. Book now…captivating, moving and – yes – even unforgettable’ The Irish Times
‘an incredibly moving piece of theatre…unequivocally beautiful’
The Scotsman

Audiences and critics were raving about Pat Kinevane’s outstanding performance in Silent, when it played to sold-out houses in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last August. Since then , it has toured to several venues in Ireland, and been performed at the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris and at the Galway Arts Festival picking up many awards along the way including the Argus Angel Award at Brighton 2012, and the Fringe First and Herald Angel awards at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011.

The critically acclaimed show Silent is the touching and challenging story of homeless McGoldrig, who once had splendid things. But he has lost it all – including his mind. He now dives into the wonderful wounds of this past through the romantic world of Rudolph Valentino. Dare to laugh at despair and gasp at redemption in this brave, bleak, beautiful new production.

Reviews for Silent :

The List ‘a fringe must-see if ever there was one’

Herald Scotland ‘fabulous dance of whirling words…a bravura outpouring of sorrow, anger, hurt and lacerating wit’.

The Scotsman ‘unflinching, intensely physical performance..bristling with black humour. ‘

The Skinny ‘a brilliantly crafted demonstration of everything that is possible in live performance.’

Fishamble: The New Play Company is a multi-award winning company dedicated to the discovery, development and production of new work for the theatre.
