Irish Indie Folk Favourites Villagers set for Sligo Live Date

Sligo Live are delighted to present favourites of the Irish indie folk scene Villagers at this year’s Festival over the October Bank Holiday weekend.

Sligo Live are delighted to present Villagers at this year’s Festival over the October Bank Holiday weekend. Fronted by Dublin man Conor O’Brien, Villagers released their second album {Awayland} to critical acclaim in early 2013 and have spent much of the year on the road touring festivals across Europe and America. Their debut album Becoming a Jackal picked up a Mercury nomination in 2010 and an Ivor Novello Award for O’Brien for the title track. Sligo Live 2013 will present a stellar array of top quality music, including Villagers, spanning 6 days over the October Bank Holiday Weekend, October 23rd – 28th 2013. Now widely considered Ireland’s premiere folk, roots and Indie festival, Sligo Live 2013 brings together established Irish and international acts with some of the best emerging talent on the scene. Villagers will perform at Sligo Live on Sunday October 27th at IT Sligo’s Knocknarea Arena. Tickets on sale now from http://www.sligolive.ie
