Hi Carmel,

I am only after seeing this comment regarding music at the Lunasa festival back in August. I am afraid we are not event planners. SligoEvents.ie is an online portal for the promotion of what’s on in Sligo. The Lunasa festival and the music events you refer to were arranged by Ferguson events in partnership with Sligo Tourism.

You would need to ask the publicans first about vacancies in their premises before booking acts to play in the pubs. Our traditional singers session was interfered with by one of the acts that booked. It didnt look good for your image as an event planner.

Is there any way that I can access the RTE ‘On The Street Where You Live’ episode featuring an interview with my cousin in Sligo, John Mullaney?

I tried to view it here but was denied access because I am in the wrong “zone.” This, I assume, because I am trying to reach RTE and Sligo from the U.S.

I will be so grateful for any information you can provide.
