‘Cairde celebrates diversity and community and in this year’s programme we particularly celebrate Sligo – a richly diverse, creative and multi-cultural town. We have collaborated with a number of community organisations throughout the year, with much of this work being showcased during Cairde.’

“Ebb & Flow” is a travelling musical show presented on the format of a small festival that will help audiences experience the rich musical heritage of different cultures from both sides of the Atlantic. With three acts and a total of eight musicians on stage, “Ebb & Flow” is a powerful 2 ½ hours show of music from the Appalachians to the Andes, from Portugal to Finland and from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, a blend of traditional tunes and original material

Sun 5th April, International Multicultural Day celebrating Emigration and Migration at Sligo Folk Park, Riverstown between 1pm and 6pm. On the day a free courtesy bus service will operate between Sligo and Riverstown, buses will depart from the Tesco Car Park at 12.30pm, 1.15pm, 2pm and 2.45pm. Return journeys to Sligo will depart Riverstown from 4.30pm onwards.
